Workshops at Chapter 34 bookshop
I'm doing it, folks! Last year I dabbled in workshops for adults and since then I have had requests for more. For those of you local to me in Sussex I'd love you to join me at Chapter 34 bookshop for a beach themed wreath making workshop. Chapter 34 is a beautiful new independent bookshop in Shoreham, right by the station. It has a room upstairs perfect for a gathering, as well as a cafe to keep us fuelled. This will be the first workshop of many and I hope to be rolling out a whole programme of different eco-arts and ways to recycle trash into something to treasure.
The first workshops will be in October and we'll be making a beach themed wreath from discarded fishing rope and plastics found on Sussex beach cleans. You'll be able to decorate your wreath with shells, driftwood or beach plastic and create something to treasure from trash washed up on our beaches. No experience needed and all equipment and materials provided, although please feel free to bring your own shells or special items to decorate your wreath, as well as any clean and dry fishing gear or beach finds you would like to incorporate into your design.
The lovely Kelly will be opening the bookshop cafe for us so teas and hot chocolates will be available to buy at the start of the event.
You can find out more info and book your space here.
Watch this space for further workshops as well as some new makes and info on a new project on the horizon.
As always, thanks for all your support and for being awesome members of the trash gang.
Have a fab week,
Carmen
